Week of October 15, 2017
Brothers and Sisters,
We're in the middle of great first week of our 2017 stewardship campaign, in which we are asking everyone to commit to pray, pledge, and participate at St. Andrew's in the coming year. This first week is focused on prayer, and my sermon from Sunday was about prayer as gift that we are called to steward (and asking you, as a steward, to pray for St. Andrew's).
Because this edition of the email is going out rather late in the week, several things have already happened. So here's your short list of what's yet to come in the near future at St. Andrew's...
- BlessMobile Sunday — Oct 22: It's BlessMobile Sunday again! This week we're trying a new recipe: Philly cheese steak subs! Can you help prepare the food? Or come along to Merritt and help serve (and eat)? Sign up online please.
- SAY (St. Andrew's Youth): SAY is back again this weekend. If your family hasn't made it yet, make plans to attend this week. Besides games and dinner, our youth are diving into some serious matters of faith with wonderful sponsors alongside them. Good stuff is happening; I hope you'll be a part. Junior High meets at 4:30 p.m.; Senior High meets at 6 p.m. Dinner for both groups is at 5:30 pm.
- Make a Difference Day, Blanket Project — Oct 28: You can participate in McKinney's Make a Difference Day at St. Andrew's by helping us sew weighted blankets for foster and adoptive children. The blankets have been started; they just need to be filled and sewn. To learn more or sign up, email our Hands & Feet ministry ( ).
- Commemoration of the Faithful Departed — Nov 2, 7 p.m. We're going to have a special service to remember and celebrate the lives of our departed relatives and friends. Come pray, reflect, and worship at this special service.
May the grace and peace of our Lord be with you.
In Christ, Andrew+
