Hugs Cafe Inc. is a non-profit social enterprise in McKinney, Texas dedicated to providing meaningful training and competitively-paid employment to adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities and brain injuries. Our mission offers a direct solution to the 61% of adults with special needs that want to work, but remain unemployed due to lack of opportunity in Texas.
The mission of Shiloh Place is to equip single mothers for financial independence and personal wholeness by addressing their physical, educational, spiritual, and emotional needs.
Gateway of Grace integrates and empowers refugees to become productive members of our community as we mobilize the Church and build Christ-centered relationships.
The Samaritan Inn is a comprehensive homeless program that helps willing people gain dignity and independence.
The 11 McKinney Little Free Pantries serve as a vehicles to share the overwhelming abundance in Collin County with those in need in our community, The pantry organization wants to provide non-perishable food, toiletries and basic life necessities with respect, love and dignity for shoppers and donors alike. This assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no rules or regulations as to who receives the assistance.
Streetside Showers provides mobile hot showers and hygiene kits to the homeless in our area. The organization runs 3 mobile shower units in 6 locations, including the parking lot of Hope Fellowship in McKinney.
The SPCA of Texas is the leading animal welfare organization in North Texas. Founded in 1938, the non-profit recently celebrated its 80th anniversary and serves as an active resource center that brings people and animals together to enrich each other's lives. The SPCA of Texas is independent and does not receive general operating funds from the City of Dallas, State of Texas, the federal government, or any other national humane organization. All money donated to the SPCA of Texas stays in North Texas to help animals in our local community.
Community Lifeline Center strengthens communities in north Collin County by guiding residents in crisis back to self-sufficiency and independence.
Burks Elementary Burks Elementary, a McKinney Independent School District school in East McKinney is our partner school. We work as mentors with students as well as supporting the teachers.
