Children

Kids in Children's Church at St. Andrew'sFrom infancy to preteen, our goal is to provide a fun and nurturing environment that allows children of all ages the opportunity to experience and hear the transforming Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We pray for our children to:

  • KNOW the character of God and the joy of a relationship with Him through Jesus Christ.
  • DEVELOP an understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what He offers us.
  • EXPRESS our hope in Jesus Christ in the world around us.

Worship for families is intended to be a shared experience together. At St. Andrew’s, we’ve organized our worship so that families can be together, while still providing age-appropriate learning experiences. Children (3 yrs +) begin worship in the main service starting with a special Children’s Sermon given just for them by our clergy and then invited to attend an age appropriate lesson in Children’s Church. They will return to the sanctuary and their family for Holy Eucharist.

Children’s Sermon

Short, liturgical and relevant, these engaging moments will bring a smile to faces of children and adults alike. With the exception of the 8 am service, every Sunday service at St. Andrew's begins with a Children's Sermon.

Children’s Church

After the Children's Sermon, kids depart the main service and head off to age appropriate class rooms for a time of hands-on study and learning. Led by our volunteer teachers and using an exciting curriculum, kids experience Bible stories with crafts and activities. They return to the main service at the Offertory, after the sermon is over, but in time to continue worship and receive Holy Communion with their families.

Nursery

Our nursery room is equipped with SafeChurch Certified and trained staff for infants and toddlers up to 3 years old. We pray over them that they will know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference throughout their life.
