At St. Andrew's we understand discipleship to mean the process by which we become more like Christ.  Discipleship involves not just learning about the Christian faith, but also learning how to live more Godly and full lives.  It is not enough for us to reach new people for Christ - we want to see them grow and mature in their faith.  We take an intentional approach to discipleship as seen in our "Ministry Wheel".  You can come in at any point along this wheel, and as you"roll" along in your discipleship, you'll find yourself growing in knowledge and in grace!

Adult Discipleship Hour Class—"Simply Christian"
Over 60 years ago C.S. Lewis wrote Mere Christianity which went on to become the seminal book on the reasonableness of Christianity.  Now N.T. Wright, Bishop of Durham, England, has written an updated book in a similar vein titled Simply Christian.  Simply Christian is for those who have doubts or are skeptical about Christianity, but it is also for Christians who wish for a better understanding of and renewal in their faith.  Wright walks us through why we believe in God, how God has been revealed in creation and as Father, Son and Spirit, and what this means for living a Christian life.   This class will be led by Deacon Mary.  We will spend 8 weeks in Simply Christian before introducing our next topic.
