Week of February 18, 2018
Brothers and Sisters,
I'm really excited about our Wednesday series, but there is a lot of great stuff coming up at St. Andrew's. Here are some highlights from this week.
- Lenten Wednesdays at St. Andrews Begin: Come make the observance of a Holy Lent a part of your week. For the next five weeks our schedule on Wednesdays will look like this:
6:00 pm — Evening Prayer in the Great Hall: Simple midweek worship in the Anglican tradition.
6:45 pm — Dinner and Discipleship — Servant Speakers Series: This week we welcomed Eppy Thern, the Executive Director of Shiloh Place McKinney, a ministry to single moms and their children who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. As a single mom just out of college, Eppy discovered firsthand the challenges and needs of being a single mom and believes God has uniquely equipped her to help mentor the women of Shiloh.
There is no charge for dinner, but we will be collecting donations for Shiloh Place.
- I hope you have been enjoying our Lenten Video Devotional series. Don't forget you can sign up online to get them in your email when they are released, or see them on our Facebook page.
- It's BlessMobile Sunday at Merritt. There are two ways you can help be a part of this wonderful ministry — bring food, or come with us and help love on our neighbors. Either way, please sign up online to help out.
- The Women's Friendship Circle is meeting on February 26. This month's meeting is at St. Andrew's for a Taize Service. We will start at 7 p.m., and supper will be provided. Please email the office to let us know if you need childcare.
For more on our plans this Lent, check out the dedicated page on our website. Missed a week or two due to the weather, you can also listen to past sermons. May the Lord's peace and love fill your life the rest of this week.
In Christ, Andrew+
