The Rev. Andrew Van Kirk joined the staff as the Associate Rector in the fall of 2013. He was named Priest-in-Charge in August 2017, and instituted as St. Andrew's second Rector in February 2019.

Prior to coming to St. Andrew’s, Andrew served as the Associate Rector at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Dallas. Father Andrew grew up in Dallas before attending Duke University (B.A. History and Computer Science) and Princeton Theological Seminary (MDiv, ThM – New Testament). In between institutions of higher education, he briefly wrote software for Amazon.com.

At a diocesan level Fr. Andrew serves on the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas. He and his wife Stephanie, who also has an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary, have three children, Henry, Addie and Drew.

The Reverend Roy Abraham Thomas

Deacon / Associate Pastor


Roy Thomas began serving as Associate Pastor of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in June 2018.  He and his wife Rachel are blessed with three children: Isaiah, Faith and Jeremiah. Roy was born in Texas and takes pride in being a fan of the 5-time Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys.  In 1999 Roy was ordained as a priest in the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church after obtaining a Masters in Divinity from the Mar Thoma Syrian Theological Seminary. In 2012, Roy graduated from Seattle University with a Masters in Pastoral Counseling.  

He continued serving the Mar Thoma Church until 2016 when he felt called to transition into the Episcopal Church. In 2018, Roy completed a Certificate in Anglican Studies from Wycliffe College. In February of 2019 Roy was ordained as Deacon in the Episcopal Church, and is on track to be ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church by the end of 2019.

Deacon Pam Fairley



The Rev. Pamela Fairley serves as Deacon at St. Andrew’s.  Pam and her husband Forrest have been members at St. Andrew’s since 2006 when they moved to McKinney from Cincinnati, Ohio.  She is a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, where she earned her BSN.  Perceiving a call to the Diaconate she attended The Stanton Center for Ministry Formation, receiving her Diploma in Ministry in May, 2017 and was ordained as a Deacon of the Church in June 2017.  When not otherwise engaged in her hobby as a professional student, Pam has been employed in her first calling as a Registered Nurse.

Tim Jenkins

Youth Ministry


Tim has served vocationally at multiple churches as a youth minister and as the associate pastor overseeing youth and children. He has formal training in ministry, and a Biblical education, with his bachelor’s degree being in Bible and Preaching. Besides his interest and experience in youth ministry and his worship leadership, Tim has also served as a missionary in Guatemala.

Stephanie Van Kirk

Children and Family Minister


Stephanie heads up our Children and Family Ministry program. She's a graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary, where she completed a Masters of Divinity with a focus in Christian Education. She's also served as a children's minister and as a youth minister at Ascension in Dallas. Stephanie will be responsible for overseeing Sunday morning and all the volunteers, the nursery workers, Safe Church training, and pastoral care with kids and parents. Beyond that, she's going to work on expanding our children's program to include more outreach opportunities, full-family experiences, play dates, and seasonal classes and curriculum.

Associate Minister for Children's Programming


Lauren's primary responsibilities are to assist with Children's ministry on Sunday morning, and then plan and lead our major children's programs that take place over the course of the year, things like VBS, Christmas Pageants, Advent Family Night. Lauren is a full-time high-school teacher; she's wonderful with kids and parents, has strong organizational and planning skills, and a calling to help minister to our little ones. She has two kids, William and Eleanor.

Corey D. Rom

Minister of Music


Dr. Corey Rom currently serves as music minister at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in McKinney TX. As minister, he conducts the church choir, works with the youth, and is developing new music programs for the future.

As an educator, Dr. Rom is currently the tuba and euphonium instructor at Texas Woman’s University and Collin College. As a performer, Dr. Rom plays with the Lone Star Wind Orchestra and it’s resident brass quintet. He has also toured and recorded with the international performing group The King’s Brass.

Dr. Rom received his Bachelors of Music and did his Master’s work in tuba performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. In May of 2015, he also received his Doctorate of Music Arts degree in Brass Performance from the University of Texas at Austin.

When Dr. Rom is not performing or teaching, he likes to spend time with his lovely wife, Rhonda, and daughters, Elise and Sydney. He also enjoys reading, sketching, solving blacksmith’s puzzles, and adding to his collection of playing cards.
